This week we look at how bank policies effect Black home ownership. In our last episode we discussed COVID’s impact on black home ownership and mortgage foreclosures. That discussion led us to take a deeper look institutional bank practices. In this episode, our guests talk about lending from the bank’s perspective. Community advocates however view the banks role in a different light because bank policies effect black communities’ ability to build wealth. Will bank practices under COVID-19 policies cause the same kind of loss of black home ownership as they did during the mortgage crisis of 2008? Enjoy the discussion.
