The upcoming 2020 election poses more challenges than any other election in the recent past. In the run-up to the election we talked with three former Black elected officials. They discussed the challenges they faced in their runs for office. The discussion was so interesting we decided to continue it over three episodes. In this first episode we talk with Mary Nelson, who was a member of the administration of the former Democratic governor of Missouri.
We will post two more episode over the next two weeks. In the final episode our guests with have a conversation among each other about their experiences and some warnings for 2020.
