Election 2020 Information and Resources

Election Challenges Episode 2 Independent Candidates
Black hand depositing a vote in box

In conjunction with our podcast series on election challenges we gathered Election 2020 Information and Resources to aid our listeners.

COVID-19 CHALLENGES

The COVID-19 pandemic jeopardized many routine voting procedures. Senior citizens cannot be poll workers because they would be at risk for catching the coronavirus. Some States haphazardly enacted measures to allow voting by mail. Voters wonder whether their votes will be counted because vote-by-mail instructions are not clear. In addition, there was an appointment of a political crony who has no experience in mail delivery systems. Mail was delivered late or not at all throughout quarantine time. Congress investigated why the mail was delayed. Finally, the courts forced USPS to abandon changes until after the election. Even foreign governments are working hard to disrupt the 2020 election.

VOTE INTEGRITY

In the meantime, the current sitting president is doing his best to spread misinformation about the integrity of the voting process. The president’s supporters are carrying out voter suppression throughout the South, Midwest and other parts of the country. That is ironic since the stories in the news about voter fraud over the past three years have almost all involved members of the president’s party.

Our podcast guests don’t want to tell you how to vote. But, they have provided some Election 2020 information and resources on how to vote. We’ve added some resources as well. We hope you will find the information listed below helpful:
