Both Janella and David bring extensive expertise, dedication and enthusiasm to their work. Yet, it’s clear from our discussion that bringing equity to the educational process is a significant undertaking. They both touch on the challenge of getting all communities to care about equity and inclusion. Quality education for students of color should not be just a concern of parents of color. Yet communities that do not have a significant population of students of color may not value the efforts to improve the quality of education.
