Roundtable Discussion on COVID-19- Episode 10 – 10:25:20, 6.25 PM

In this episode we wrap up our COVID-19 shows with a roundtable discussion on COVID-19. Dr. Beverly Sheppard, Dr. Katrina Peters, and Dr, Janice Herbert-Carter, speak with each other about important information for our communities. *

The doctors talk about testing, or the lack of it, measures we can take to stay safe. We also ask them about whether any future vaccine will be safe. Morehouse School of Medicine is part of an effort by Black doctors to participate in vaccine studies. They are working to help ensure Black people medical needs are not ignored in the process of developing an effective vaccine. But, members of the Black community do not trust medical providers because of decades long poor treatment at the hands of white doctors. Consequently, many question whether it will be wise to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The doctors discuss safety protocols for vaccine development and give some general comments on staying healthy in the upcoming flu season.
